Company Financials

Track company financial history: revenue, earnings, valuation, valuation ask, offers, investments and financing.

Overview

Each Company has a Financials tab that provides a central place to store financial information gathered during communications with a Company. It is a place to store information gathered outside of financial statements or documents provided by the Company (i.e. financial information gathered during discussions, emails, etc.).

The Company Primary Currency and Year End are shown at the top of the page. These are based on what was saved in the Company Profile.

Revenue History

The Revenue History table provides a place to store Company revenue information. Each row represents a revenue record. 

Click the ‘+’ button on the right of the table to add a new revenue record. You may enter the period for the record (i.e. the specific year or quarter for which the revenue data applies) as well as the revenue amount itself and the type of revenue. A drop-down of common revenue types is provided. 

After saving a revenue record, you can edit that record by clicking the pencil icon or delete the record by clicking the trash can icon.

Earnings History

The Earnings History table provides a place to store Company earnings information. Each row represents an earnings record. 

Click the ‘+’ button on the right of the table to add a new earnings record. You may enter the period for the record (i.e. the specific year or quarter for which the earnings data applies) as well as the earnings amount itself and the type of earnings. A drop-down of common earnings types is provided. 

After saving an earnings record, you can edit that record by clicking the pencil icon or delete the record by clicking the trash can icon.

Valuation History

The Valuation History table provides a place to store any valuations (even rough estimates) of the Company. Each row represents a valuation record.

Click the ‘+’ button on the right of the table to add a new valuation record. You may enter the date the valuation was done using the calendar input. There is a column to add pre-money, post-money or enterprise valuations. None of the columns are required.

After saving a record, you can edit that record by clicking the pencil icon or delete the record by clicking the trash can icon.

Valuation Ask History

The Valuation Ask History table provides a place to store valuations that the Company has indicated or requested. Each row represents a valuation record.

Click the ‘+’ button on the right of the table to add a new valuation ask record. You may also enter the date of the valuation ask using the calendar input. There is a column to add pre-money, post-money or enterprise valuation asks. None of the columns are required.

After saving a record, you can edit that record by clicking the pencil icon or delete the record by clicking the trash can icon.

Offer History

The Offer History table provides a place to store offers you have made to the Company. Each row represents an offer record.

Click the ‘+’ button on the right of the table to add a new offer record. You may also enter the date of the offer using the calendar input. There is a column to add the value of the offer, the associated percentage ownership and a note. None of the columns are required.

After saving a record, you can edit that record by clicking the pencil icon or delete the record by clicking the trash can icon.

Investment History

The Investment History table provides a place to store information on investments that you have made in the Company. Each row represents an investment record.

Click the ‘+’ button on the right of the table to add a new investment record. You may also enter the date of the investment using the calendar input. There is a column to add the amount of the investment, the percentage ownership and a note. None of the columns are required.

After saving a record, you can edit that record by clicking the pencil icon or delete the record by clicking the trash can icon.

Financing History

The Financing History table provides a place to store information on the Company’s financing activity. Each row represents a record related to financing.

Click the ‘+’ button on the right of the table to add a new financing record. You may also enter the date of the financing using the calendar input. There is a column to add the amount of the financing, the type of financing and a note. None of the columns are required.

After saving a record, you can edit that record by clicking the pencil icon or delete the record by clicking the trash can icon.
